Welcome
Naomh Mearnóg GAA Club, Portmarnock warmly welcomes you to our annual U14 All-Ireland Football Tournament. Now in its 11th year, this much-loved event brings together teams from across the country to compete for the Govan Jolliffe-Byrne Memorial Cup and Shield.
We are delighted to host players, coaches, families and supporters, and look forward to a day of great football, connection and community spirit.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone taking part and supporting the event. Your involvement helps make this tournament a highlight in our club calendar, and we hope it is an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.
Each year proceeds from the tournament are donated, on behalf of the Jolliffe Byrne family, to The Arch Club in Portmarnock — a community organisation supporting people with additional needs through a wide range of activities and programs since its founding in 1990.
We hope you enjoy the day, the football, and the sense of community that makes this event so special.
Please note: Respect our neighbours and no parking permitted in Torcaill Estate.
Bus drivers need to be aware of a number of low bridges near the club.

In Memory of Govan
This All-Ireland event, established in 2016, honours the memory of Govan, one of our outstanding young players who tragically passed away in 2015 while on holiday in Africa.
After moving to Portmarnock, Govan joined Naomh Mearnóg's U14 football team, quickly becoming a valued and dedicated teammate. He represented the club at all levels, including the U21 Championship team in 2014.
Known for his infectious personality and friendship, Govan is fondly remembered by all who knew him. This event aims to celebrate his life and reflect his lasting impact on our club and community.
