Naomh Mearnóg GAA Club Portmarnock welcomes you to our annual Under 14 All Ireland Football tournament. The tournament takes place over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
In our 10th year, this hugely successful event is delighted to welcome teams from across the country to compete for the Govan Jolliffe-Bryne Memorial Trophy and Shield. This action-packed day of football, will be followed by a fun evening and celebrations hosted at the club.
Please note: Respect our neighbours and no parking permitted in Torcaill Estate.
Bus drivers need to be aware of a number of low bridges near the club.
This event is an All-Ireland initiative which began in 2016, in loving memory of one of our outstanding young players. Govan passed in a tragic accident while on holiday in Africa in 2015.
Coming to Portmarnock from Africa, Govan joined up with Naomh Mearnóg Under 14 football squad. He quickly established himself as an outstanding team player.
He represented our club at every level, including being part of the Under 21 Championship team in 2014. He had an infectious personality and was a great friend to everyone he met. We strive to ensure this event does justice to the memory of an outstanding young man and a committed member of our club and community.
